Indwell is a Hamilton-based Christian charity that offers supportive, affordable housing in London, Ontario as well as many other areas in Southern Ontario. Indwell creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness and belonging. Their aim is to empowes tenants to achieve health and wellness goals, and to constructively engage with their communities.

Canadian Mental Health Association

The CMHA’s goals are to promote good mental health, prevent further illness, offer treatment, support recovery, and provide mental health education in the communities of London, Middlesex, Exeter, and Goderich. They work with a number of different agencies in London to provide support to people with mental illnesses. CMHA promotes mental wellness through responsive and innovative services and empower individuals on their recovery journey. They offer a variety of housing for those with various mental illnesses.
Some organizations in association with CMHA are Eating Disorders Residence, My Sister’s Place, Transitional Shared Living Youth Home, and Crisis Stabilization Space.

Willow Creek House

The Willow Creek House is a member operated peer-support self-help organization. They offer a 7-bed residence for psychiatric consumer survivors following a peer support model of management and support. The residents plan and work together to create a home environment to live without ‘professional assistance’. It is located on a two-acre property next to the Can-Voice Activity Centre in East London.

St. Stephen’s House of London

St. Stephen’s House of London is the only Long Term Recovery Home for alcoholics and addicts in the London area. They have no fixed term for resident recovery. Residents stay as long as assistance is required. The St. Stephen’s House of London’s recovery program is based in the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous plus self-help groups.

Mission Services of London - Streetscape

Streetscape offers a coffee house, free laundry, occasional haircuts, and access to crash beds for people who are homeless and those with psychiatric support needs that are homeless or in unsafe housing. They also provide support workers for the court diversion program and the tenant board. In addition, they may provide assistance in helping clients access food, the Housing Stability Bank, and income assistance support.

Housing Access Centre

The Housing Access Centre (HAC) provides information, takes applications, and maintains the waitlist on behalf of the housing providers for social housing in the City of London and Middlesex County for housing such as:
Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing
Private Non-Profit Housing
Federal Non-Profit Housing
Co-Operative Housing
Rent Supplements/Subsidized Programs
HAC administers and maintains the centralized waitlist on behalf of the housing providers. The housing providers continue to be fully responsible for their own tenant/member selection.
Acceptance to housing is need based and waiting lists are long. Units are available for families, seniors, physically and developmentally challenged, low-income earners, sole-support parents, and individuals discharged from psychiatric care.
Under certain circumstances, you may qualify for Special Priority Status or Urgent Status.
