MONEY SMARTS

LIFE*SPIN Publication on the Registered Disability Savings Plan.  Who can get one, How to get one and What are the advantages. It covers the definition of a disability by the CRA and process of getting a RDSP if under the age of 49. Benefits may include $1,000 + government matching of up to 3 times of the contribution made without affecting any type of assistance you may be on.

Your child may be eligible for $500 towards their education without it affecting any type of assistance you may be getting, and without making any contributions whatsoever. The Ken Palmer High School Music Bursary

In partnership with Forest City London Music Awards, we adopted this memorial music bursary in honour of Ken Palmer, in 2015. It was created back in 2014 to encourage young musicians in High School to pursue a music education at a post secondary level.

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

LIFE*SPIN provides free assistance to file income taxes for low-income individuals, for current and past years. This service is provided to those individuals and families who earn a modest income, visit the Canada Revenue Agency’s website to see if you qualify. We are pleased to have our Tax Specialist assisting anyone who needs their income taxes completed for the current and/or prior tax years. This is part of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).
