Below you will find a list of some services that are currently available in London that provide members of the LGBTQ+ community with safe, non-judgmental, opportunities for support, recreation, and friendships - all things that are important for gaining and maintaining good health.

Parents, Friends & Families of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG)

PFLAG is a monthly group that supports persons who are struggling with issues of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This group also supports, educates, and provides resources to parents, families, friends, and colleagues with questions or concerns. Welcome to parents, friends, families, and colleagues of people who identify as LGBTQ.

AWOL - Adventurous Women of London

This is a lesbian-positive, women’s social and recreational network that has been around for 10 years. Form new friendships, participate in outdoor and social activities, get to know London and the surrounding areas. It provides a good opportunity for women who are new to London or who need a safe space in which to come out. Open to all women.

Come Out Over Coffee

A casual open discussion group of individuals over the age of 19 who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community, or are questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity. This group is also for those starting their journey, and for those who are out and about. Meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, 6:30-8:30pm.

CCLC-LGBTQ Social/Support Group

A social group that provides a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ newcomers. If you are LGBTQ+, or wish to support this group, join them to meet other newcomers and supports in the community for coffee, conversation, education, social activities, peer support, and fun times. Not a drop-in group: an appointment should be made. You will need to fill out an application, and you must be a permanent resident of Canada to participate.

TRANS* London - Queer Events

TRANS* London functions as a social and networking group for the Transgender population of London. They meet on the 2nd Monday of each month, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.. Other meetings may be posted on their Facebook Page.

Open Closet

This is a social support group for youth between 14-18 years old who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, queer, and question their sexual orientation. The group learns and has discussions about issues such as coming out to parents and friends, queer identities, LGBT2Q history, survival strategies, accessing community, safer sex, and healthy and unhealthy relationships. They also provide access to information about HIV.Aids and other STIs, and provide referrals to community services and resources according to individual needs.

Youth Opportunities Unlimited - YOU Belong

The goal of YOU Belong is to provide a safe space for queer youth and their allies to support one another, develop life skills, and form a peer community. Events are open to anyone between the ages of 16-24 who agrees to the group guidelines.
