Tenant Support Fair: Connecting Renters with Vital Resources

Each year, LIFE*SPIN partners with community organizations and the City of London to host the Annual Tenant Support Fair at London City Hall. This event is dedicated to connecting renters with the information and resources they need to maintain safe and secure housing.
In 2024, 15 organizations participated, offering support across a range of tenant concerns, including:
Assistance with repair issues through direct connection to the City of London’s Enforcement Team
Guidance on the Landlord and Tenant Board process from organizations such as Neighbourhood Legal Services and Streetscape
The Tenant Support Fair serves as a vital resource hub, ensuring renters have access to the support necessary to address their housing needs.
Registration is not required to attend!
Free Workshop: Applying for Rent Geared to Income (RGI) Housing
Date: Tuesday, April 14, 2026

About: Join us to learn about the full process of applying for Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) Housing in our region. We’ll explain who qualifies, how the waitlist works, and what documents you need before applying. Participants will learn how to complete the application step-by-step, update their information, and avoid common mistakes that can delay approval.
This workshop is designed to make the RGI system easier to understand and to help you feel confident and prepared when submitting your application.
Annual Baby Fair: Supporting Expecting Parents

Each year, LIFE*SPIN invites expecting parents in our programs to our Annual Baby Fair, where we celebrate the exciting arrival of a new baby and connect low-income parents with crucial support.
Thanks to the generosity of community members, we are able to provide vital resources and support to families welcoming a new baby, helping to prepare parents for the transition and promote healthy beginnings.
Highlights of the Baby Fair include:
Participation from a variety of local agencies, who provided information and support
A supportive and welcoming space to celebrate parenthood and build connections with other families and community agencies
Our Community Advocate connects low-income families to the Baby Layette Program, helping new parents secure a crib or car seat
Free Workshop: Applying Ontario Energy Support Program (OESP)
Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
Time: 11 AM - 12 PM
Place: LIFE*SPIN Office (866 Dundas Street, London, ON)
This workshop will walk participants through the process of applying for the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP), which provides monthly credits on electricity bills for eligible low-income households.
We’ll review income requirements, what documents are needed, and how to complete the online or paper application. Participants will also learn how to link their application with their electricity account and what to expect after applying.
This session is ideal for anyone looking to reduce their monthly utility costs or support a household member in applying.
Annual Seniors Fair: Support for Adults 60+
Date: Thursday, February 12, 2026
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM

At the start of each year, LIFE*SPIN hosts the Annual Seniors Fair, designed to connect community members aged 60 and older with a variety of support services, all conveniently gathered in one place.
Highlights of the Seniors Fair include:
Free hearing tests scheduled by our partner, Beck Hearing
Access to resources and programs through the London Public Library
Assistance with pension and discretionary benefits from our internal Community Advocate
Registration for our Free Tax Program, which seniors can complete easily over the phone
This event reflects our ongoing commitment to helping seniors live independently and access essential services with dignity.
