CPRI’s mission is to provide specialize, trauma-responsive mental health and developmental services to achieve the best possible outcomes for Ontario’s children and youth. Their services include: Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education.

CPRI runs a program for parents wanting to learn behaviour management strategies for their children’s behavioural and emotional challenges. The program runs for 4 weeks; it is 2 hours per week. It is a voluntary program, designed to help parents cope with their child’s needs, and learn more about their specific challenges.

There are no costs for programs. However, live-in programs are arranged through CSCN.

Child Reach

Child Reach supports and strengthens parents through learning opportunities and relationships. They provide responsive programs and services based on current evidence and research, support for children to develop a strong sense of well-being through sensitive, nurturing, responsive relationships with the adults who care for them, and connections to the best programs and services to support a parent’s ability to raise healthy children.

Child Reach offers a variety of workshops to help parents. Workshops include: Overcoming Power Struggles, Creating Sibling Harmony, and Your Spirited Child. Call or look online to see what is currently available.

There is a fee for workshops. However, subsidies are sometimes available for low-income families - just let them know that you need one.
